A very big thank you to everyone at Arumba Llan Fitness Class and Charity for their generous donation of £2,500 to WORLD! This will take place at 10.30 am on Friday 4th of September and will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. If you would like to join us please email us directly at joinusatworld@outlook.com or click the 'Get in Touch' link below and we will send you an invitation to the event.

Please join us at Parc y Scarlets for our next event, our bi-annual patient and carer forum on Tuesday 10th March 2020. Our speakers include Joseph Carter from the British Lung Foundation and Dr Mark Briggs from the Welsh Blood Service. WORLD is looking for volunteers to help plan and run fundraising events and activities for the charity.

Whether you have the time to join the fundraising committee, have a great fundraising idea or can offer some time to help with an event, we would love to hear from you.

Please email us at joinusatworld@outlook.com or message us via Facebook. Sylvia is organising the first fundraising committee meet-up on 28 June so if you are able to attend, please let us know.

In April 2019, WORLD trustees Rachel (and bump), Sarah, Joe and Keir, took on a 26.2 mile challenge, promising to run, cycle or swim the distance of a marathon, to raise money for WORLD. The event culminated in Sarah running Hamburg marathon (all in one go!) on 28 April in a time of 4.34.24! Thanks to your generous sponsorship we raised £463.27 for WORLD. Now we're off for a lie down!

WORLD held a follow-up members event in January 2019, where we introduced our new trustees, Sylvia and Graham Evans and were delighted to receive a cheque donation of £1440 from Bethan Davies, raised in memory of her late sister Awen. Thanks to all speakers and attendees for their contributions and support in making the event a success.
