Do you like curry? Do you like quizzes? If yes, we have the event for you!
It's our Christmas curry and quiz night on Thursday 8th December from 7pm onwards at Sultan Fine Indian Dining in Llanelli. We have a £50 cash prize for the winning team, but will also have a raffle on the night with quality prizes. Please feel free to bring friends and family. Tickets cost £15, with all proceeds going to WORLD.

It is with great sadness that WORLD learned Phil Bennet died yesterday.
As well as a true rugby legend, this kind man gave a lot to the people of Llanelli and supported numerous causes with grace and humility. Phil attended and entertained us at our inaugural WORLD meeting in Parc Y Scarlets in 2017. After our raffle, he went to get a signed painting of him in his Scarlets/Wales/Lions jerseys and brought it wrapped to the hospital the next day. Spontaneous and generous throughout his life.

We would like to acknowledge the kind donations from the friends and family of Sheila Elaine Thomas, who was a true stalwart of the respiratory unit at Prince Philip Hospital.
We would like to thank Amanda Thomas (Sheila's daughter) all the way from Canada, Mr and Mrs E. A. Evans, A. T. and J.E. Purdy, Major J Dawson, Swiss Valley Community Association and other anonymous donors.
We will remember Sheila fondly and also for all her help with AirRaise.
Many congratulations to Sharon Geggus, one of our members who had severe COVID last November. Sharon has just swam 84 lengths of Llanelli Leisure pool (one for each day in hospital!) to raise money for a memorial sculpture. She has already raised £2,850 of her £3,000 target.
Well done Sharon, WORLD are all very proud of you!
